“The job I would like”: Italian language and culture course for foreigners.
On February 20, 2018 the second edition of the Italian language course promoted by Energy for Human Rights ONLUS starts. The 30-hour course is aimed at foreign people who have a basic level of knowledge of Italian (level A2) and want to improve the language through training aimed at the world of work and integration into the local social fabric. .
The lessons will be aimed at preparing students to face a job interview in the best way , learning to respond effectively to an announcement and to write a curriculum vitae . Among the objectives of the course there is certainly the desire to bring out the resources and skills of the participants, making them expendable, based on individual wishes and aspirations, within the Italian labor market, with a view to empowerment.
This will be accompanied by a photography workshop , during which participants will be taught some basic techniques, which will be put into practice through the production of photographic material relating to the ” Work I would like “, a series of works and textual content that describe the job aspirations of each of the participants.
The educational path is also designed to create as much as possible forms of interaction between the participants and the territory. If in fact one of the objectives of the course is to facilitate the insertion of the person in the working world through the creation of a curriculum vitae, we will also try to establish contacts with professionals and craftsmen of the San Lorenzo district: they will be able to explain their job to students, who can decide to make it the subject of their photographs and at the same time deepen their skills.
At the end of the training course, the photographs taken during the workshop will be exhibited on the occasion of the Multiethnic Republic Day , an event open to all organized by Energy for Human Rights ONLUS which will be held on June 2, 2018 (place being defined). This initiative will provide the participants with an additional opportunity to talk about themselves and create dialogue and exchange with the neighborhood population, with a view to integration.
On February 20 at 18.30 at the headquarters of the association , in via degli Equi 45, the first presentation meeting of the course will be held, after which it will be possible to register. The lessons will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 18.30 to 20.00. Participation is free and at the end of the course a certificate of participation will be issued .
